WHY TO INVEST IN TAURAGĖ?
Information
Tauragė is characterized by a developed industry – more than 15 companies with foreign capital are successfully operating. Tauragė Industrial Park (TIP) has been operating since 2007 – the most developed private industrial park in Lithuania, offering industrial premises for rent and sale. Foreign capital companies located and successfully operating in TIP: Egersund Net, Trelleborg, Tauraplastas, Ansell Protective Solutions Lithuania, etc.
Tauragė District Municipality is determined to help investors who will contribute to the creation of jobs and the improvement of well-being in Tauragė.
EXEMPTION OF INVESTORS FROM LAND, LAND RENT AND REAL ESTATE TAX
Investors may be exempted from land, state land rent and real estate tax by the decision of the Municipal council.
CONDITIONS FOR TAX EXEMPTION
Investors can submit a written request to Tauragė District Municipal Council for exemption from land, land rent and/or real estate tax:
- For a period of 1 year (if 100,000 to 250,000 euros are invested and at least 2 work places are created for residents registered in Tauragė District Municipality).
- For a period of 2 years (if 250,000 to 500,000 euros are invested and at least 3 work places are created for residents registered in Tauragė District Municipality).
- For a period of 3 years (if 500,000 to 1,000,000 euros are invested and at least 7 work places are created for residents registered in Tauragė District Municipality)
- For a period of 5 years (if 1,000,000 euros and more are invested and at least 15 work places are created for residents registered in Tauragė District Municipality).
- For capital investments of at least 1,000,000 euros (if at least 15 work places are created and maintained for at least three years) or if more than 40 work places are created and maintained for at least three years, Tauragė District Municipality, in accordance with the procedure established by the Civil Code of the Republic, concludes investment contracts with investors, which determine special investment and business conditions.
Small and medium-sized business entities establishing service centres, administrative, customer service, and production departments may submit a written request to Tauragė District Municipality Administration for reimbursement of rental costs for non-residential premises located in the Municipality’s territory:
- upon establishment of 10 to 29 new jobs for residents registered in the Municipality (if open-ended employment contracts for the entire working day are concluded with hired employees), the costs of renting non-residential premises are compensated for the first five years, but no more than 400 euros per a work place in a year;
- upon establishment of 30 to 50 new work places for residents registered in the Municipality (if open-ended employment contracts for the entire working day are concluded with hired employees), the costs of renting non-residential premises are compensated for the first five years, but no more than 500 euros per a work places in a year;
- if more than 50 new work places are established for residents registered in the Municipality (if open-ended employment contracts are concluded with hired employees for the entire working day), the rental costs of non-residential premises are compensated for the first five years, but no more than 600 euros per a work place in a year.
