Žygaičiai is a town in the northwest of Tauragė district, by the road Tauragė – Vainutas. In Žygaičiai there is St. the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul (built in 1863), gymnasium, post office, dispensary, community center. There are three communities in Žygaičiai eldership: in Žygaičiai – “Žygava”, in Sartininkai – “Sartupietis”, in Aukštupiai – “Aukštadabrupis”.
